Back in Virginia

After 3 years of living in Florida we are back in Virginia. In April 2011 we moved back into a townhouse in Alexandria. Since that move we experienced an earthquake, first for me, August 23rd. Then on August 27th we experienced a hurricane, first for me as well.

Fortunately we were good friends and have had an opportunity to get back together with friends and family. Our schedules are jam packed with stuff to do, but we do miss the beach and weather that was in Pompano.

iMac

Just got the iMac. Now what the hell can I do with it. So far I've moved movies, photos and music pretty successfully from the PC. I also created a movie and burned it to a DVD and published it to YouTube. Anyone else have any hot tips for what I need to do in order to enhance my Apple Experience?

Microsoft Tag

Kind of cool. You download the application for tagging to your phone. Take a picture and then something happens! Based on what kind of tag it is. It could take you to an informative website, give you the contact information for storing on your phone. It can be used on business cards, in papers, on computers on signs in marketing etc. Just wish that it worked with my Android... stupid microsoft.
Take a picture of this tag with the Microsoft Tag Application and then you can get my contact information.

Carolyn and Nick Visit

We had an awesome time with Nick and Carolyn. After plundering the sea and catching around 100 lbs in fish between the four of us we tore up Fort Lauderdale. As an added bonus we not only got to rock out to "On a Boat" at America's Backyard and do the "Teen Wolf" but we got to hang on a yacht that visited us Sunday morning in our backyard. Thanks for the good times C&N!!!

Carolyn can be seen to the right fighting with her 30 lb Black Fin Tuna. You better hit the weights girl, next time you might be in the water.

Nick struggles with his King Fish. We were worried for awhile that he wasn't going to catch anything.

Our booty! We were able to eat fresh tuna right
there on the dock. Our captain, Eddie, filted it up and served it to us. Pretty damn good!

Nick and I make the Teen Wolf happen and start a trend. We only had minor lacerations, nothing that shots of tequila couldn't fix.

Las Vegas Good Times

So after a hard couple of weeks Kristin and I met up with good friends and had some good times in Las Vegas.

It was my first trip and I was pumped to get out there. This was my 30th birthday present from Kristin and it did not disappoint.

We met up with Nick, Carolyn, Cathy, Dave R., Nancy and Paul and rocked out at the Venetian, Bellagio and good ol' O'Sheas!

The best part, hands down, was the Wynn pool that came complete with outdoor gambling, beverages and Vegas style entertainment.

Thanks everyone for making my 30th very memorable!

Crazy New Years Fun 2008

Kristin and I had an awesome time on New Years this year. I know I'm a little late getting to this, but I thought you would like to know that even though is was just the two of us we had an incredible time, made some friends for the night and enjoyed being Floridians. These pictures were taken at the Fort Lauderdale block party that occurs down by the River in downtown Ft. Lauderdale.
Kristin explains asks me why I never say that she looks exactly like the girl on a billboard. I reply with "What??"
I make my own fun. I found this hat and glow sticks and decide to make the best of it. Didn't realize at the time that I looked like a maniac.
Give me some sugar baby! That guy in the background looks so lonely.

Bonnies Trip to Florida

Bonnie came and visited us back in March. We got a chance to hang out in Miami Beach, Biscayne Bay, The Rusty Pelican and do a trip through the Everglades. I do not recommend the Everglades, there is a lot of trashy people that go through there, the tour guide is barely audible (mostly because of in breeding) and overall it's kind of boring.

Trip to Miami Sea Aquarium

Kristin and I decided to take advantage of getting a free annual pass to the Sea Aquarium back in February. We took a trip to Key Biscayne and took in the aquatic animals there. It was interesting to see the manatees, dolphins, sharks and other beasts.

Curtis and Kristin's Trip to Key West

Just thought I send a quick note to all those that may check in from time to time. Kristin and I are doing fine in Pompano, FL. We actually just recently took a trip to Key West, FL to celebrate our 2 year anniversary. If you have the chance to make it there, I recommend it.
We hauled our two bikes down there and didn't use the car for the remaining two days. I will warn you that the night life is really not kid appropriate, but it's real fun if you're adult and don't mind some male and female public nudity... or at least really really close to being public nudity.

While there we primarily hung out at the beaches, did a island wave runner tour, and took in the night life (Kristin almost bought a mini chiuaua). We named him Ramrod for the Ramrod Key, I'm sure whoever buys him will honor that name.

Hope all is well with you, feel free to give us a call or drop in any time to hang out. So far we are up to seven successful visits and approaching 100s of pounds of fish caught, thanks to
